1. Develop a product roadmap that complements global and local product vision
2. Work closely with Customer Organization to ensure business growth in key market segments by identifying and responding to local marketing needs and opportunities
3. Work closely with R&D to ensure products are developed in the direction of business strategy.
4. Lead the strategic product marketing and management programs to ensure the competitive positioning of the company’s product offerings particularly against local competitors
5. Strategically manage the integrated marketing communications program including relevant marketing promotions, trade shows and exhibitions and revenue initiatives for the organisation
6. Actively work with other functions on issues that affect development of the business including technology, cost trends, loading, product development, quality issues etc.
7. Drive marketing communications to ensure best in class collateral for campaigns in print, electronic and web based media
8. Liaise proactively with Sales and Operations to develop sales forecasts and inventory management strategies
9. Represent the company with industry stakeholders to provide a professional and credible image
10. Provide direction for mapping products through their respective life cycles to ensure achievement of the company’s overall product vision and strategy
11. Develop, implement and monitor the broad policies for development of new products and services and plans for China
12. Undertake the branding of new products and services to ensure they meet the overall company strategic direction
13. Run beta and pilot programs with early stage products and samples
14. Lead strategic planning and implementation of product discontinuation
15. Liaise with CEO China on issues concerning marketing and product management with specific focus on market requirements, market share, market volume, price levels, orders and anticipated orders, resources, outlook, promotions, competitor activity
16. Gather intelligence regarding products and services, competitors and vendors in the market and provide solutions for products and services to penetrate these markets
17. Complete people management system processes for direct reports including performance feedback and appraisal, annual objective setting, salary planning, training and development initiatives and talent management |
